I bought this for my external drive I carry with my laptop. I am constantly setting up my laptop at different locations and chose this because it was the shortest esata cable I could find. Yet, it has very little flexibility and does not hook into the esata ports very well. Therefore, I have to position the external hard drive in an exact position relative to my laptop. Then I can’t even think about bumping or shifting the HD or Laptop’s position without losing connectivity.
