I will not write to much since this printer is discontinued. I had this printer for 4 years now and have to admit it still prints larger photos better than most current printer. It has never failed me since I had it. I just bought a Canon MX850. I use both but will go to mu HP for larger portrait prints. If you can find one for cheap I would suggest you get it. I paid 0 when I bought mine.
I bought this printer in 2004 and am still using it now. No problems so far. Mainly use it to print documents and pictures off my memory card or camera. The quality of the pictures are awesome considering that this is only tri-ink printer. It is fast enough for regular document printing applications and adequate enough for high quality photo printing. It can be used as a stand-alone printer to print photos from your memory card, just slide it in and you’re good to go. It’s memory card slot is for multiple memory cards. For creative pictures, you need to adjust settings in the printing configuration from your PC. The software is not hard to install, its plug & play. You do however, after installing the software, to auto-set it to download driver updates so you can get the best performance out of your printer. The updates modifies and solves certain problems (only small ones) that have been encountered in using this printer. Once you download all the updates, the performance of this printer is optimized. Its very hard not to like this printer although now its a little left behind by the newer ones. Overall its a nice printer to have. Highly recommended! The PhotoSmart 7760 handles a wide range of media types and sizes, and comes with a dedicated 20-sheet 4-by-6-inch photo paper tray plus a 100-sheet standard media input tray to easily handle your everyday printing. An optional duplexing accessory and 250-sheet paper tray are available separately to enhance paper handling even further.
